When I envisioned launching BRYN REESE FINE CHINA, it was with the desire to offer collectors a series of modern table services and fine china tableware inspired by images that have captured our imaginations for centuries.

Beginning with the earliest porcelain designs created across Asia, I found the dragon, and its journey through life, to be exciting threads in Japanese and Chinese imagery. Desiring to marry modern images to the ancient themes of abundance, journey, and prosperity, I selected luxurious colors and fine textures that would embody these aspirations. As we extend the idea of the dragon and its journey to ourselves and our lives, we begin to understand the purpose of the table as a convener of celebrations, intimate evenings with friends, and the focal point of contemporary family life from sunrise to sunset.
